The foundation started as a sister organization to award funds to those who feed the nations school children while also providing professional development resources including training and research. The Hobart Equipment Grant, worth up to $35,000, was gifted as part of the charitable arm of the School Nutrition Association, for ETHS’ school meal program, according to a news release. Evanston Township High School District 202 receive one of five grants from the School Nutrition Foundation to replace out of date kitchen and cafeteria equipment.
